Our healthy noni juice is made from the fruit of the Indian mulberry (Morinda citrifolia) and is naturally grown in the rich, fertile soil of Puna on the Big Island of Hawaii.Why do we call it healthy noni juice? Over the last decade or so there has been a huge increase in interest in the medicinal effects of noni juice. Noni has been a part of Hawaiian traditional medicine for thousands of years, with usage of all parts of the plants, including the bark, the leaves and of course the fruit. Claims have been made that the therapeutic effects of noni juice range from anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral to anti-tumor and more. But whether this is scientifically proven one day or not, it definitely shows that noni juice seems to influence a variety of processes within the body. We believe that healthy noni juice is a valuable supplement to our diet, adding important anti-oxidants, polysccharides and enzyme-stimulating alkaloids. How is our healthy noni juice prepared? The fresh fruit is hand picked and washed, then packed into sterile tanks to undergo an aging or fermentation process for 2 months. After aging the fruit is cold-pressed and the noni juice drained from the tanks. It is immediately pasteurized and bottled in a facility inspected by the Hawaii Dept of Health. The leftover pulp is returned to field as compost or fertilizer or else discarded. It is not left in the aging tank, or freeze-dried into a powder to be sold as capsules to an unsuspecting public.
